I am an artist, woman, mother, feminist and art psychotherapist who has been on my own healing journey. I deeply believe in the power of art to transform and transmute trauma.

I’m glad you’re here

My Story

I moved to Scotland from the United States in 2008 to complete my MFA in Painting — and stayed.

Since then, I’ve built an international career as a practicing artist, with residencies in Italy and the United States, significant grant awards, and artwork held in private collections around the world.

My path into art psychotherapy emerged through a profound period of personal transformation during early motherhood, which called me to confront my own history and deepen my understanding of healing. This led me to undertake Art Psychotherapy training at Queen Margaret University.

My practice is also shaped by my own ongoing queer and neurodivergent journey, which has deepened my understanding of identity, embodiment, difference, and self-discovery. It informs my commitment to offering an affirming, relational space where complexity is welcomed with curiosity and care.

As both a professional artist and psychotherapist, I offer a unique integrative approach grounded in psychodynamic theory, embodied awareness, and creative exploration.

I believe art-making offers something uniquely powerful: a way to move beyond words and into direct relationship with our inner world. Through creative process, we can access what may be held beneath conscious awareness, regulate the nervous system, strengthen self-worth, and create space for meaningful transformation.

My work supports people to reconnect with their innate creativity as a pathway toward self-understanding, emotional healing, and lasting change.

About

I offer a supportive, creative space where you can reconnect with your authentic self, express feelings freely and rediscover optimism.

Drawing on my own creative practice and lived experience of healing, I bring embodied wisdom to our sessions so that together we can build a collaborative and fruitful therapeutic relationship. I integrate somatic practices to help regulate the nervous system and honour the connection between body and mind.

With a Master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy, my approach is person-centred, trauma-informed and psychodynamic. When I am not working with clients I am riding my bike, painting in my studio, visiting the highland of Scotland, or watching films!

I am deeply invested in my professional development in order to provide the best experience for my clients. I take my professional responsilities and ethics highly seriously. I attend supervision and trainings regularly in order to maintain the highest quality psychotherapy.

Inclusivity

My commitment to inclusivity is also shaped by lived experience. I understand, both personally and professionally, how systems can marginalise people and how vital it is to have spaces of understanding and care. This informs my practice and my dedication to meeting each client with respect and openness.

inclusivity is central to my work as a therapist. I actively support individuals across diverse identities, including race, religion, gender, sexuality, class, disability, and neurodivergence. I strive to cultivate a therapeutic space that resists discrimination, challenges stigma, and fosters belonging.
